Starboard Development LLC (“Starboard,” “we,” or “us”) builds custom homes in Dallas, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through starboarddevelopment.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it plainly rather than defensively.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you fill in the enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the location of your project, the project type, your estimated budget and desired timeline, how you heard about us, and whatever you choose to tell us about your vision. You decide what to put in those fields. Only the information you submit is stored.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

What we do not collect. This site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, no pixels, and no third-party marketing cookies. We do not build visitor profiles and we do not track you across other websites. The only cookies this site sets are the session cookies required to sign in to the private staff area at hub.starboarddevelopment.com, which is not accessible to the public.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, to discuss and plan a potential project, to provide estimates and proposals, to keep records of our correspondence, and to meet legal and tax obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with the service providers that operate this site on our behalf, and only so far as they need it to do that job:

Vercel hosts the website and holds the server logs described above. Supabase provides the database in the United States where enquiry submissions are stored, and the storage that serves our project photography. Cloudflare provides DNS and email routing for our domain. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where it is stored, and for how long

Enquiry submissions are stored in the United States. We keep them for as long as we have a live conversation with you and afterwards for as long as we need them for legitimate business, accounting, or legal reasons. When an enquiry is of no further use, we delete it. Spam submissions are deleted on sight.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is held in a database with row-level security enabled, and the credentials capable of reading it are held server-side only — never in the code your browser downloads. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but we treat what you tell us about your home and your budget as genuinely confidential.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action it. If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act may give you further rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, and the processing of sensitive data. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on either front.

Children

This site is intended for adults engaging us about construction work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Other sites

Where we link to an architect, designer, photographer, or other third party, their site is governed by their own privacy policy, not this one.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
